ABOUT
Merita Laurél began her artistic career in 2012 as a singer and songwriter in the French-speaking world.
After graduating from high school, she initially pursued a classic academic career - coming from a family of merchants - and completed her studies in international business administration followed by writing her doctoral thesis in marketing.
Afterwards she founded her first full-time company as a nationwide requested keynote speaker and communications trainer for companies and private individuals.
But after a few years, Merita's desire to turn her passion for music, art and creation into a career grew stronger than ever before and so she founded her creative company from scratch.
In 2015, Merita toured Tunisia for the first time with her “DIVA” concerts, supported by Grupo Iberostar.
During the tour, she won people's hearts and kept in touch with her audience through daily posts on her social media channels and her blog (2015-2020). From 2016 onwards, her community on Facebook grew to over 70,000 loyal followers, who she shared in her travel-intensive everyday life with daily posts, photo impressions and videos.
In addition to the English and French language blog, which reached over 250,000 page views per month and up to 8,000 loyal readers per day, Merita launched her first web shop with her own creations such as digital music and her first published books, followed by behind-the-scenes video bundles for streaming.
Back in Germany, Merita wrote, produced and released her album "Love Above All" (2020), the Christmas song "This Moment of Peace (on Christmas Eve)", followed by her concert film "One night with Merita Laurél feat. Ralf Gregor".
For several years now, she has devoted herself to writing new books and producing audio books and continues to work as a songwriter and lately writer and producer of documentaries available for streaming.
Beside her artist's career, Merita is also actively involved in responsible, species-appropriate animal and horse husbandry and shares her experiences as a content creator with the equestrian community in Germany.
Merita lives with her husband, musician and composer Ralf Gregor, in Hamburg and Lower Saxony/Germany.
